I asked the offered if they were original and he believed. Cover #2 has the entirety of fiberglass insulation. See details below. Each exhibit signs of heat at the bend/neck cover.

They aren't perfect but they are much cleaner than when I bought them after had been setting for awhile. 1965 1966 C2 CORVETTE SIDE EXHAUST PIPE COVERS, FAST UPS GROUND SHIPPING!, 65 5/8 long. I've listed the condition as accurately possible and have highlighted any flaws. From perusing some Corvette online forums I did read that original heat shields from GM were a dark gray and light for service or over the counter parts. Cover #1 is missing a fiberglass piece at the neck SEE PICTURES.

You should be able to tell from the pictures and video if you are interested. I have identified each cover as #1 and #2 SEE PICTURES AND VIDEO. Take that for what it is worth.
